Australian all rounder Shane Watson is in serious doubt for the remainder of World Cup because of calf injury. This is not the first time, Watson has got injured in the crunch time for Aussies. As a matter of fact, just before the start of the Ashes last year, he got injured and was unable to play any part in the Ashes campaign.
If initial medical scans are anything to go by, he had a minor tear in his left leg and the recovery time for this sort of injury is around three weeks. This injury of Watson has come at wrong time for world champion because they are playing very well but with this injury blow their balance will get affected as now they have to decide whether to play a batsman or a bowler because there is no other all rounder in the side.
In the last few years or so, Watson has makes its presence felt in the Aussies side both with the bat and ball. In ICC Champions Trophy, he successfully opened the batting for Australia scoring lots of runs and bowling his ten overs with utmost ease.
